Our Pre-K Prep program is not a Private Pre-K alternative to GA Pre-K. Instead, the Pre-K Prep classroom is designed to prepare children, age 3 (children who turn 3 by Sept. 1st), for the GA Pre-K program. In this classroom exposures to pre-literacy skills, letter formation, early math and science are accelerated in preparation for GA Pre-K. In addition, children are becoming more socially aware and are encouraged to practice problem solving skills as they encounter the typical social challenges of a four year old classroom. Through these interactions children are taught to sustain peer relationships through respect, understanding and kindness. These same traits will infiltrate their experiences with peers well into adulthood.
Pre-K Prep uses the Georgia Early Learning and Development Standards found at Bright from the Start: GELDS for planning and online assessment.
