North Point Prep currently has two Georgia Pre-K classrooms. Our GA Pre-K program is offered from 7:45am-2:15pm or 8:00am-2:30pm to children that are four years of age no later than September 1st of the current school year.
During the instructional day GA Pre-K children are provided with a balanced approach to education that includes center time, daily writing, reading groups, small groups (teacher directed), outdoor play, story time, music and movement and rest time. Teachers plan each week under a broad theme (child directed) and include experiences that provide children with opportunities to learn and grow based on individual strengths and needs. Children who stay after school concludes have the option of being enrolled in our Extended Pre-K program.
Our GA Pre-K program uses the Georgia Early Learning and Development Standards found at Bright from the Start: GELDS for planning and assessment purposes. These standards have been aligned with Georgia Performance Standards to ensure a smooth transition to Kindergarten.
